It’s not easy to clear your mind. Ultimately, your brain is not a drawer that you can just empty and fill whenever you want.

This is mainly because  there are many emotions that can take away your inner peace, while keeping balance and the ability to stay focused is so important.

Often there are also negative emotions that play a role. Factors such as anxiety and prolonged stressful periods often cause us to feel  frustrated, exhausted, and angry at the world.

This has happened to all of us at some point: you come home and you can’t relax because your mind is constantly filling with many and persistent thoughts. A whirlwind of anxiety, headaches and a bad mood that just won’t go away.

If you are going through these feelings and you don’t know how to deal with them,  we have some simple advice for you that you can try out in practice.  They will really help you clear your mind!

Find out what agonizing emotions you have

Before performing these exercises,  discover which emotion or emotions are the basis for what you are feeling.  Sometimes it’s a  mix of a lot of little things:  a little bit of fear, a little bit of sadness, a little bit of disappointment, and a little bit of worry.

To unravel this, you must try to come to yourself and relax. Nothing works better for this than meditation.  It may seem strange, but learning meditation is not easy. It takes time and practice.

We recommend a number of options for you to connect with yourself,  to discover what is happening to you and what emotions come up in your mind.

Here they are:

  • Go for a walk. Many people find it easier to meditate when they are walking or running.
  • Take a relaxing bath. This is an ideal way to think about things and clear your mind.
  • Schedule an hour for yourself, alone and in silence. Take a notepad or piece of paper and make two columns on it. In the first box you write ‘what do I feel’ and in the second box you write ‘why do I feel this way’. Do this calmly and be honest with yourself.
