A face mask for every day of the week

If you wake up on Monday with dark circles under your eyes, have you ever considered a face mask? And does your face look tired on Friday, after a whole week of work? Do you want your face to look radiant and toned for all your weekend plans?

We show you how to make seven homemade remedies in the form of natural face masks with ingredients that nourish, soften and smooth your face. They hide tiredness during the first days of the week and make your face glow all weekend.

Monday: oatmeal

On Monday you need something that energizes and nourishes. A face mask that fulfills this task is made by mixing oatmeal until it becomes a powdery substance. Mix the oatmeal with warm water and let it rest for ten minutes until it has cooled completely. Then apply the mask to the skin and leave it on for half an hour. This simple mask will get you all set for the work week.

Tuesday: yogurt

Tuesday you won’t be as tired as Monday, but you can still use a pick-me-up to get through the rest of the week. That’s why Tuesday’s face mask is made with yogurt. Yogurt moisturizes the skin without leaving it greasy. You simply apply the yogurt to your face and let it sit there for half an hour. A simple and quick face mask!

Wednesday: clay

Now that you’ve reached the middle of the week, it’s a good idea to deep cleanse your skin to remove any toxins or impurities while also providing your skin with minerals.

For this face mask you will need green clay, which can be bought at a herbal store or pharmacy.

Mix the green clay powder with warm water, adding it little by little until no more lumps are visible. Then apply the mask all over your face, avoiding the corners of the eyes, and let it dry. This takes about twenty to thirty minutes. Then gently remove the mask with warm water.

This mask will also remove shiny spots or excess oil. If you have dry skin, it is better to mix the green clay with yogurt instead of water. After using this face mask, you should moisten your skin well with the face cream or oil that you normally use.

Thursday: lemon and honey

As we get closer to the weekend, it’s the perfect time to cleanse your skin of any kind of grime. Nothing is more suited to this task than lemon. Lemon is a good cleaner and purifier. Honey also helps moisturize your skin and give it a healthy glow.

Grate the zest of a lemon and mix it with the honey. The mixture will have a slightly sticky texture, although heating can help make the honey less sticky. Apply the mixture to your skin and leave it on for half an hour. Afterwards, rinse the mixture with water.

Friday: cucumber

Friday is finally here and you’re all set to go out and about, but your skin is showing the effects of a tiring work week. This is where cucumber comes in handy. Cucumber will refresh your skin by moisturizing it well and also make the skin look firm again.

To prepare this mask, grate the cucumber and mix it with milk or rice milk. Because the whole then becomes a very liquid substance, it is best to use a cotton pad. Dip the cotton pad in the mixture, then rub it over your skin as if you were removing makeup. Then cut two slices of cucumber and place it on your closed eyes. Thus, they will restore the vitality of your eyes.

Lie down for at least twenty minutes to rest. You can also apply this mask before going to bed to remove the dirt that has accumulated on your face during the day.

Saturday: avocado as a face mask

By Saturday, you’ll have had some time to rest and be ready to nourish your skin, giving it a wonderfully healthy glow. To make this mask, crush half an avocado with a fork until it forms a smooth consistency. Since avocado is rich in fatty acids, vitamins and minerals, you don’t need any other ingredients. Apply the avocado directly to your face and leave it on until the mask is visibly dried. Then rinse it off with water.

Sunday: lavender

Sunday is the time when you can let the skin relax. You can do this by simply making a strong lavender extract. When the extract has cooled to a normal warm temperature, use a cotton pad to gently spread it over your face. You don’t need anything else to guarantee a healing rest.
